stuck to my guns over the last few nights, trying to get into some sort of rythm playing turbo stt’s. last nights sets consisted of 6 games then 7 games then 6 games, astonishing volume lol
just as well i ran good in the $3.50′s or it would have been a disappointing night. basically a raft of bubbles with only a second and a third from thirteen $1.50 games but a decent four cashes from just six games at the $3.50′s
even a small cash is better than nothing !
tonight its a beer, a few cash hands, then its forum 8-game and radio commentary .. some peeps might argue its radio drivel but its all good clean fun, well before the 9pm watershed it is
over the weekend I’ll knock the beer on the head and then try and play without any at all .. more difficult than it sounds as I’ve got into the very bad habit of turning poker into a social evening in, meh

a quest of troubles

as I suspected, said quest was trouble. so much so that i’d actually go so far as to say it was a load of bollox !
entirely of my own doing. way to much beer .. volume sucked !!
which has pretty much been the case up to and including now, lol.
the past week has not been too bad. I’ve been trying out the stt’s (turbos) with limited/reasonable success .. the limited part particularly applies to a degen beer session whilst playing $1.50′s …. $3.50′s …. $7′s …. $15′s (ffs) …. it was mostly a lot of fun and tbh, I wasn’t really giving a flying fuck about the state of my bankroll come the morning …. that should prolly read “later” that morning, lol.
at least I stayed away from the $30′s ….

so over the past few days I’ve been trying to get into a routine of playing sets of the fucking things. a set = 4 or 8 …. hopefully more in the near future !!

and as for the beer ? ask me after this coming weekend ….

I think if 99% of players looked in the mirror, they’d see their worst enemy, their nemesis, if you like. Just a thought and probably true in my case and I’m a ( very very marginal ) winning player !
If I have a quick trawl through PT, by session, not by hand, lol, you might get a better idea.
Of course, my biggest problem .. social player, likes to play with a beer in hand …. back to looking in the mirror !!

Two nights ago 800 hands -
first 200 hands = +75 bb’s ….
hands 200 thru 500 = breakeven ….
hands 500 thru 800 = oops, I dropped the fucking ball = -80 bb’s

(sometimes even I’m glad I only play microstakes)

Three nights ago, 400 hands -
first 130 hands = -70 bb’s ..
hands 130 thru 400 = +70 bb

You might think thats to small a sample, err no. I’ve the PT3 data to back it up, meh.
Basically, the longer the session, the more likely I am to fumble the ball. Stands to reason if you have a beer or two whilst you play …. yeah, I know what the answer is ….

well I finally re-installed windows (again) this time using the correct disc, ho-hum. then I had to re-instal …. yada yada yada but you get my drift (windows currently installing update 31 of 98 fer crying out loud !). So I now have table-Ninja and pokerTracker 3 both running under trial. TN is standard 30-days but the good folks at PT give you 60-days, result !
So obv I had to re-install the pokerStars client …. so I fired up PT3 with a view to posting some hands …. thats when I discovered my player name was not recorded in PT3, wtf ??
yup, I’d told stars where to store my hand history, but did NOT tick the box telling stars to actually save the fucking things, beedy beedy beedy, doh ! doh !
so no HH’s at the mo, quite annoying but hey-ho.

now wee acorn asked about TN .. if I understand his question .. if its your turn to act then stars will auto start the timebank, yes ? now TN will let this run down to but will hit the “i’m back” button as soon as it appears, assuming you have ticked the right box on the “annoyances” tab .. I have and I had a coooont of a time trying to sit out a tourney, without bustin my timebank, while I went for a slash !!

oh, speaking of updates, TN has just auto-updated .. and reset all settings to their default, wtf ? seriously, wtf ? so you might want to save your current settings to file …. doh !!

and the good news is …. I finally got off my lazy arse (re mouse) and re-installed pokertracker, I even emailed them for a new registartion code, so you might be treated to a hand or twoo in the near(ish) future, lol. Also installed tableNinja … you hear loads about these things but until you try them …. I’ll let u know …. learning to mad-multi-table, thought TN might be useful
So until then, you’ll have to wait, as I have no idea if I’m up/down/crushing/or giving it away for free, doh !

fyi, stars balance generally going in the right direction, hover just over the 1k mark, and I’m learning to mass multi-table …. there is no “mass multitabling for dummies” so its learn whilst driving .. lets hope I dont crash and burn.

I actually first noticed this insanity last night …. when i stopped by my good buddy’s blog. forgive me, but i felt fucking awful over the weekend and actually (rather sensibly) stayed the fuck away from all things poker …. in the end I did not play a single hand last night because I had major major pain with a rather annoying molar …. dentist tomorrow …. no surprise if I emerge from that one less one certain lower right molar, ffs so there you have it.
is it good or bad …. certainly bad from my point of view as half the traffic on my tarbs were populated by Americans, ho hum but as usual, its the little guys who get Royally Fucked. and what of the poor buggers who are actually online pro’s ??
guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out, but I seriously hope it blows the fuck up in the face of the assholes who paid to kill online poker in the good ole USofA

well at least I min cashed in the 8-game and added a point or four to my player of the month stats …. then I totally gave up on the game over the weekend. not a single fucking hand did I play !

lack of posting on here is getting a bit redic.

still grinding the micro’s, although last months volume left a lot to be desired. to many forum games, not enough cash. so i drop back to beginners on stars (bronze) lol

gonna have another crack at the 10/25c level, lets hope it goes better than last time ! the only way it could be worse, actually, is if i go completely busto. wont happen though basically taking anything over my $500 ‘roll as my mini-roll to play higher. so I’ll still mainly play the micro’s ….

speaking of the forum. last month I averaged about the same points per game as the winner of POTM (player of the month) .. food for thought, huh. bet Thierry is quaking in his boots, not !  he averaged 3pts per game while I averaged 2.7pts …

I did offer, live on air, to play every game one month …. if someone staked me …. no takers lmfao !

so started my “assault” on the 10/25c last night with 24 hands wtf ???? but managed to walk away with 15bb profit …. way to go

oh, playing iron man for 10 wks (forum, not FT) .. first game was limit hold-em (ugh) but I managed 5 from 37 and a min cash to boot, better than expected. would really really like to do well in this as I’m always “boasting” that I do not like hold-em …. doubly difficult, since half the fishays don’t seem to have a clue when it comes to variations …. I’m probably included in that half too !
