i have $50 on Party but its unlikely to go anywhere pl08b wise. every time i log-on there are like 2 tables running. not enough to keep me interested and certainly not enough to buffer variance

so step 1 – top 4 win , step 2 $10 – top 7 win , step 3 $30  – top 7 win , step 4 $70 – top 7 win …. if i remember correctly, the hardest part is getting off the ground in the first step. and the only reason i have not won anything (apart from not being good enough !) is getting to the higher steps and quite simply giving my chips away aka getting it in behind, sigh

wish i’d started this record earlier.

getting my ass kicked at the 10/25 at the mo’ so put my jesus challenge on hold for a week or 4 …. been playing hoddem of the 10c/360 player variety. its quite refreshingly funny. some of the all-in’s, the calls …. just plain bonkers !

the temptation is, of course, to just donk along with the rest of ‘em, but i have been trying to play, honest. its relatively simple to go deep. and to get to the money, you just need a few big hands to get paid with. as ever, getting to the final table is a tad more difficult. playing them in sets of 8, got to, or i do i end up so bored …. the devil does find work for  idle mouse fingers ….

best so far is a 9th and last session a 5th no less …. annoying, the 5th place …. the monster stack was running hot and so when i pick up JJ its time to go for a double up …. straight into AA, fml

there are at least half a dozen “supernova” regulars who play at 10c/25c …. wtf ? 

blagged a profit last night when i stacked an unknown by jamming on the flop with outs …. did not expect the call, but hey, i actually hit ! i also managed to stack a supernova

he flat called my pre-flop raise, and my small bets on the flop and turn. with a good low and the nut flush on the river, i jammed …. he tanks …. and calls with no low but the 2nd nut flush, nae luck.

a couple of things i’ve noticed ….

if i jam on the river …. they fold quickly or tank (make me sweat) then fold.

if i jam on the river …. they call …. with the nutz, either high or low.

the other thing, i’m finding this level tough. my graph must look similar to a hookers knicker graph, charting the ups and downs of said knickers ! so i am slowly and $-painfully learning to fold to river-jams unless i have a big big hand. this may allow people to push me out a pot on the river but the number of times i have called on the river with a nut low and got quartered because i have shit-for-high, is verging on the redic !

i assume the regs have noted this and are acting accordingly …. then again, maybe they just have monsters on the river.

btw i update the bankroll manager on a daily basis, if you’re halfway interested

when i logged off last night, i took a note of my stars balance as $798 ….

i logged on tonight, stars balance $795 …. wtf ?

perhaps i misread the 8 for a 5 …. perhaps not

i WILL be keeping an eye on this.

( my stars balance dropped to mid 700’s …. although i was running bad and playing spectacular donkery …. i was almost positive it had not dropped that low, hmmmm …. )

of course, the other hard part is figuring out who the decent players are, since there are very few that i have met at 10c/25c who played the micro stakes. so having moved to the heady heights of 10c/25c pl08b i got my a$$ kicked …. settling in now, as WE all adjust our game …. 3 buy-ins went when not once, but twice i ran into nut flopped boats, the third went when my flopped boat got chased to the river where it got blown out the water by yet another nut boat, fml and welcome ! fish, to a brand new level. the other 3 buy-ins i just jizzed off, probably ever so slightly on-tilt, ugh.

two nights ago, i pulled back $50 and almost break-even last night.

btw on a T T T flop would you blast your whole stack in from early position ? one guy did, i had the other fcuking ten he had KK …. huh ? mayhaps you hoddem donks think this is a good “move” but i play omaha ! honestly wtf ?

ok its time to swim. lets see if i can continue to get rid of the tuna jacket !

i suppose, when playing, i should stick to ca$h or tournament$ …. one or the other eh ? i only mention it because after last nights wee session, i was deffo ahead at the cash tarbs …. yet, there it was in black and white, the ’stars cashier showing i was $3 down …. wtf ?

it slowly dawned on me. i’d played a few tournaments earlier, whiffed the lot of course …. so thats where the nights “profit” went, sigh and hee-haw
